Common Questions

What you might be wondering

Short answers to what couples ask before they book.

01Do you take my insurance?

Glen is out of network with insurance plans. You pay the practice directly, and you can ask your plan to reimburse you. We do not bill Medicare or Medicaid. How fees work has the details.

02What is a superbill, and can I use one?

A superbill is an itemized receipt we send each month, which you can submit to your plan to ask for reimbursement. It lists a diagnosis code, which your insurer will see. Your plan decides whether it pays you back, and how much.

03What is a Good Faith Estimate?

If you pay without insurance, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of what your care will cost before you start, and we give you one in writing. If a bill is $400 or more above the estimate, you can dispute it. The estimate is not a contract.

04How much does it cost, and how do fees work?

Eunji gives you the fee for a session in writing before you book. How fees work explains insurance, receipts and the written estimate.

05Can I use an HSA or FSA card?

HSA and FSA cards can be used to pay for sessions. Your plan sets its own rules, so check with your plan administrator.

06What happens in the first session?

You and your partner talk with Eunji about what you each want from the work and what pace feels right. She explains how sessions run and answers your questions about fees and cancellation. You do not need to share everything at once.

07How often do we meet, and for how long?

Couples sessions run 80 minutes. Many couples start weekly or every other week. Your clinician sets the pace with you, and there is no set number of sessions.

08Are you licensed where I live?

Eunji is licensed in Colorado. We meet in person in Boulder, or by video when you are in Colorado at the time of the session. We cannot see clients who are in other states.

09What do I do in a crisis?

Call or text 988, any time, or call 911 in an emergency. This practice does not monitor messages around the clock. Crisis and resources lists more lines.

10What is confidential, and what are the limits?

What you share is kept private and shared only as the law allows. The limits include a serious risk of harm to you or someone else, and reports the law requires. In couples work, Eunji explains in the first session how she handles what each of you says.

11Do you see teens?

Glen works with adults and couples. If you are looking for a clinician for a teen, tell us and we will help you find one. Consent rules for minors differ by state, and the clinician you choose will explain them.

12What is your cancellation policy?

We ask for 24 hours' notice to cancel or move a session. Eunji explains the details in writing before your first session.
